Franklin County commissioners amended this week's agenda to add a session and move another to a different building, changes residents should note if they plan to attend in person.

The three-member Board of Commissioners (John O'Grady, Kevin L. Boyce and Erica C. Crawley) will hold an Elected Officials' Monthly Discussion on Aug. 4. That session did not appear on the original weekly agenda and was added in a revised version posted Saturday, Aug. 1. The amended agenda does not list a location for the discussion.

No regular General Session is scheduled for Tuesday.

Thursday's Administrative Session moves downstairs

The Administrative Session on Aug. 6, at 9 a.m. has been relocated from the 26th-floor Briefing Room at 373 South High St. to the Commissioners' Hearing Room in the Michael J. Dorrian Building, 369 South High St., Main Lobby. The amended agenda does not explain the reason for the move.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, Franklin County Public Health will present a COVID-19 Jurisdictional Update via Zoom webinar. Advance registration is required through the county's Zoom page. Neither session lists specific resolutions or action items.

How to attend or comment

The Hearing Room at 369 South High St. is where commissioners normally hold their weekly General Sessions. Those meetings are broadcast on Columbus Government Television — channel 3 on Spectrum and WOW, channel 99 on AT&T U-verse.

Residents who want to speak at a commissioners' meeting must submit a Public Comment Request Form to the Clerk of the Board, either in person or online, before the session begins. The board's office can be reached at 614-525-3322.

The next regular General Session is scheduled for Aug. 11, though no agenda for that date has been published. Residents can sign up for email alerts on upcoming meetings through the county website.
