Two Franklin County Sheriff's Office narcotics K9s trained alongside dogs from three other agencies at Zoombezi Bay on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Bruno and Finn practiced drug searches and suspect apprehension at the water park near Powell. K9 units from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Marysville Police and New Albany Police joined the exercise.

The sheriff's office, which provides law enforcement in Norwich Township including parts of the Hilliard area, shared photos from the day on social media. Images showed a K9 alerting on contraband during a search drill, a dog working with a handler in a protective bite suit and the dogs splashing in the water between exercises. The office called the outing a mix of work and fun.

Finn, a German Shorthaired Pointer, joined the sheriff's office Special Investigations Unit in June as Deputy Dillon's partner after his previous K9 partner, Ivan, retired. Bruno, also a German Shorthair Pointer, is the partner of K9 Detective Jordan Justice.

No additional training dates have been announced.
