Hilliard Davidson hosts seventh-ranked Upper Arlington at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the regular-season finale for both Division I programs.

The Wildcats (3-6) enter on a high note after beating Olentangy Liberty 12-6 last week. Upper Arlington (7-2) carries its own momentum, having routed Dublin Coffman 42-3, according to cleveland.com's state rankings. That win bumped the Golden Bears from No. 9 to No. 7 in cleveland.com's Division I poll.

A win would give Davidson back-to-back victories for the first time this season.

The Wildcats' three wins came against Mansfield Senior (30-6 on Aug. 21), Central Crossing (33-10 on Sept. 18) and Olentangy Liberty. Their six losses include a 13-10 overtime defeat to crosstown rival Hilliard Bradley on Oct. 2 and a 41-7 loss to Hilliard Darby on Sept. 11.

Upper Arlington sits No. 2 in the OHSAA Division I, Region 3 computer ratings at 26.6, trailing only unbeaten Gahanna Lincoln (33.7944), according to the Akron Beacon Journal's weekly ratings report. The Golden Bears are well inside the 12-team playoff cutline.

Davidson is 13th in Region 2 at 5.8556, outside that cutline. Hilliard Bradley (5th, 14.3611) and Hilliard Darby (9th, 10.3556) both sit inside the Region 2 playoff picture.

The OHSAA releases its final playoff-qualifying computer ratings on Sunday, Oct. 25. The top 12 teams in each region qualify, with the top four seeds earning a first-round bye.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Hilliard Davidson.
