Culver's plans to open a restaurant in Hilliard's Mill Run neighborhood, targeting an opening during the final week of December.

The ButterBurger and frozen custard chain will move into 3610 Fishinger Blvd., the former home of Kenneth's Salon and Day Spa, according to NBC4's Thomas Cobb. The opening mark the second location in the Hilliard area, joining the existing restaurant on Rentra Drive in the Hilliard Green neighborhood.

Dan Massoglia, a partner at Indiana-based franchisee Meyer Foods Management, told NBC4 the end-of-year timeline is a target "if everything falls in place." Massoglia already operates the Rentra Drive and Hamilton Quarter Culver’s restaurants. He grew up in Newark and has lived in Columbus for 25 years.

Meyer Foods runs more than 35 Culver's restaurants across Ohio, Indiana and Georgia.

The former salon building sits on a two-acre property and contains roughly 17,400 square feet, according to Franklin County property records. The structure was built in 1994. Kenneth's has since relocated to the TruePointe development near Interstate 270 and Cemetery Road.

The Mill Run restaurant is part of a broader Culver's push into central Ohio. The chain opened locations in Canal Winchester in June and in Heath on Aug. 3.

Meyer Foods is also developing Culver's restaurants at 1452 N. Cassady Ave. near John Glenn Columbus International Airport and at 1000 E. Dublin Granville Road near Worthington.
