Hilliard Bradley fall athletes are in preseason workouts, and the school rolls out two days of events Aug. 10-11 to officially welcome the community into the 2026-27 season.

The centerpiece is Meet the Jags, a stadium showcase set for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11, at Bradley Stadium, 2800 Walker Road. The event celebrates the school's band members, fall athletes and extracurricular programs, according to the school's back-to-school announcement.

But the week starts a day earlier for incoming freshmen.

Monday, Aug. 10: Freshman Orientation

Ninth-graders arrive at the Student Entrance (B9) at 7:50 a.m., with registration opening in the cafeteria. The orientation runs 8 a.m. to noon and includes school photos, class schedule pickup, iPad distribution and activities to help freshmen learn the building. Parents pick up at the same entrance at noon.

For fall sport athletes in the Class of 2030, orientation doubles as their first chance to connect schedules with practice times already underway. OHSAA fall preseason for all sports except golf began Saturday, Aug. 1, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Tuesday, Aug. 11: Jag Day, Open House and Meet the Jags

Returning students in 10th through 12th grades come in for Jag Day to get yearbook photos taken and pick up schedules and iPads. That afternoon, an Open House from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. lets all families meet teachers and walk the building. Optional parent meetings run in the PAC: ninth-grade families at 5 p.m., 12th-grade families at 5:45 p.m.

Then the evening shifts to the stadium.

Meet the Jags kicks off at 6:30 p.m. in Bradley Stadium, with the on-field showcase beginning around 6:45 p.m. The school describes it as a celebration of band members, fall athletes and extracurricular programs.

What's ahead on the fall schedule

The Jaguars football team opens at Big Walnut on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m., then hosts crosstown rival Hilliard Darby on Aug. 28. Girls volleyball opens at home against Centennial on Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. The first day of school across Hilliard City Schools is Aug. 19.
