Premier Chiropractic Center in Hilliard will X-ray children's Halloween candy for free starting Friday, Oct. 30, according to WSYX ABC6.

The office at 3615 Fishinger Blvd. is offering families complimentary X-rays of their kids' candy hauls from Oct. 30 through Tuesday, Nov. 3, to check for hidden materials. WSYX described the service as a community safety measure.

The timing lines up with Hilliard's trick-or-treat schedule. Hilliard set its Beggars' Night for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., following the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission's recommended date for Central Ohio. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the regional policy shifts trick-or-treat to the preceding Thursday.

Columbus, Dublin, Grove City, Pickerington and Whitehall are among the other Central Ohio communities holding trick-or-treat on Oct. 29, according to WSYX. Individual communities can set their own dates, so families should check locally.

The practice, which lists Dr. Sickles and Dr. Troll on its website, posts regular hours Monday through Saturday. The advertised Oct. 30–Nov. 3 promotion includes Sunday, when no regular hours are listed. Families should call 614-767-1000 to confirm candy-scanning hours.

Upcoming community dates:

  • Oct. 29: Hilliard trick-or-treat, 6–8 p.m.
  • Oct. 30–Nov. 3: Free candy X-rays at Premier Chiropractic Center, 3615 Fishinger Blvd.
