Linworth Road is closed between Postlewaite Road and Linworth Village Drive for a gas line installation that will keep the stretch shut for about 30 days, weather permitting.

The Franklin County Engineer's Office announced the closure Monday, Sept. 21, on X, saying Columbia Gas is handling the project. No official detour route was included in the announcement.

The office directed residents with project questions to contact Columbia Gas directly at 1-800-344-4077, available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. That number is also staffed around the clock for gas emergencies.

COTA announced Aug. 21 that its Line 74 bus route would be rerouted due to construction on Linworth Road, with temporary stops placed along the detour. Whether that earlier work and the current full closure are part of the same project is unclear. Riders can call COTA at 614-228-1776 for current route information.
