Hilliard Davidson's girls soccer team celebrated senior night with a 5-1 win over Westerville North on Aug. 27.
The five goals marked Davidson's biggest offensive output of the young 2026 season. The Wildcats opened with a 1-1 tie against Delaware on Aug. 18 and were scheduled to face Hilliard Darby on Aug. 25 in their first OCC contest before Thursday's matchup with Westerville North.
The Darby Athletics account on X reported the result and congratulated the seniors, though no individual players were named in the post.
@hdarbyathletics: "congrats to our seniors ! They picked up the win over Westerville North 5-1. Great job ladies!"
The program stated its goal of competing for the top of the Ohio Capital Conference when it released the 2026 varsity schedule in an Aug. 4 Instagram post. Thursday's result suggests the Wildcats have the firepower to back up that ambition.
Davidson's 2026 schedule features what the program called "very tough competition" across the OCC slate. The regular season runs through mid-October before the OHSAA postseason begins. Sectional tournament play opens Oct. 19, with the district tournament set for Oct. 26 through Oct. 31. Regional play follows Nov. 3 through Nov. 8, and the state finals are scheduled for Nov. 13 through Nov. 16 at a site to be determined by the OHSAA.
Davidson's next game has not been announced.
