Hilliard Davidson boys' basketball tryouts begin Friday, Nov. 6, and student-athletes who haven't completed their paperwork are running out of time.
The Wildcats will hold tryouts in two sessions, according to school announcements posted Nov. 2. The first runs Friday from 2:50 to 5:30 p.m. The second is Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 to 10 a.m.
To try out, players must have selected boys' basketball in FinalForms, the district's online registration system, and uploaded a current physical. The school's announcement was direct: students will not be allowed on the court without both steps finished.
OHSAA requires completed athletic participation and physical-examination forms before students participate in practice.
Uploading a physical does not immediately complete the clearance process. Families waiting until the last minute risk having an unreviewed physical when tryouts start Friday afternoon.
Gregory Gantt serves as Davidson's athletic director, according to the Hilliard City Schools high school handbook. The Davidson athletic office can be reached at (614) 921-7230.
The Nov. 2 announcements also noted that an open gym scheduled for that evening had been canceled, with the next open gym set for the following day from 2:50 to 4:30 p.m.
The tryouts begin Davidson’s boys’ basketball preseason.
