Hilliard Darby sophomore Calli Ludban made her mark at the Ohio Dominican University Elite Camp on Aug. 22, with the Panthers' basketball program calling it a preview of what's ahead for one of the area's most accomplished young players.
The Darby Girls Basketball program said on X that Ludban was "representing Darby extremely well" at the Columbus campus event and predicted she would "have a monster sophomore season." The post included a photo of Ludban with ODU assistant coach Macy Blankenship.
The camp appearance caps an offseason of momentum for Ludban, who rewrote the Darby record book as a freshman in 2025-26. She broke the program's single-season record for made 3-pointers, hitting 59 as of mid-February, according to the program's Feb. 15 announcement on X. That shooting carried her to first-team OCC Cardinal Division honors, first-team all-district and third-team all-state in Division I.
Those accolades made Ludban one of the most decorated freshmen in Darby girls basketball history. The program noted in March, when announcing her all-district selection, that it "absolutely cannot wait to watch your growth the next 3 seasons."
Now entering her sophomore year, Ludban will look to build on those numbers when the Panthers open their 2026-27 campaign in the OCC Cardinal Division. Darby's schedule for the upcoming season has not yet been publicly released.
