A New Orleans-style beignet and coffee chain is bringing powdered sugar and specialty lattes to Hilliard Rome Road, marking the brand's first entry into Ohio.
Beignets & Brew will open at 2495 Hilliard Rome Rd., according to the chain's official website, which lists the location as "Coming Soon." No opening date has been announced. The Hilliard shop is one of two Ohio locations in the works; a Westerville store at 7381 State Rt. 3 is also planned.
614NOW first reported the expansion on Aug. 11.
Husband-and-wife team Chris and Shannon Kramolis founded Beignets & Brew in 2023 in Destin, Florida. The chain has since grown to 25 locations across the Southeast, with 14 more in development. States with existing shops include Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
What's on the menu
The concept centers on made-to-order beignets, the warm fried dough covered in powdered sugar that's a New Orleans staple. Customers can order a four-piece or a dozen of the traditional version, or grab a bag of 24 bite-sized "Beignet Bites." Specialty flavors include cinnamon, Nutella and caramel, and the current seasonal menu features Strawberry Cheesecake Beignets drizzled with cream cheese icing and strawberry puree.
Beyond beignets, the menu lists lattes, fresh-brewed coffee, tea, smoothies and "Power Fizzies," plus savory items like Chicken & Beignets.
Corridor keeps growing
The 2495 Hilliard Rome Rd. address puts Beignets & Brew in a retail corridor that has drawn steady investment. Zoning records show CAVA won signage approval at 1790 Hilliard Rome Rd. in March, Chick-fil-A secured a site amendment at 1988 Hilliard Rome Rd. in September 2025, and Target expanded its drive-up operation at 1970 Hilliard Rome Rd. in February 2025.
Dan Ralley, Hilliard's assistant city manager and director of community development, described the I-270 area that includes Hilliard Rome Road as "Hilliard's economic engine" in a city news release on corridor zoning, noting it generates a large share of the income tax revenue that funds city services.
Now hiring
Both Ohio locations are actively recruiting. The chain calls its employees its "krewe," a nod to New Orleans culture. Job seekers can apply at beignetsandbrew.com/join-our-krewe.
No specific positions or wage ranges have been posted publicly. Beignets & Brew directs followers to its Instagram account, @beignetsandbrew, for opening-date announcements.
